A National Platform for Community Impact

The EFL and EFL in the Community, the charitable arm of the EFL, are exploring an exciting opportunity for a new charity partnership.

The aim of this partnership is to connect a national cause with locally delivered community impact through football, engaging EFL supporters and communities across England and Wales.

The EFL had 24.9 million competition followers last season and the EFL in the Community network engages more than 1.2 million participants annually, with almost half coming from the most deprived communities across England and Wales.

The new partnership will combine the national reach of the EFL with the trusted local presence of Football Club charities, creating a unique opportunity for a national charity to deliver meaningful impact at scale.

The selected charity will have the opportunity to develop campaigns, programmes and community initiatives that connect national objectives with locally delivered activity.

The partnership will provide a platform for a coordinated, multi-season activation, combining national reach with activity delivered in communities to build and scale impact over time, while also raising awareness of an important national cause through the power and reach of football.

Proposals are required that demonstrate how the partnership can deliver meaningful impact in communities through football while also achieving national visibility and engagement.

To support effective delivery and maximise impact, the EFL anticipates an appropriate contribution from the charity, which may include direct financial investment, in-kind support, or a combination of both.
