EFL in the Community is a football charity which is the charitable arm of the English Football League (EFL).

We use the power of the Club badge to reach into our communities and deliver a wide range of initiatives, focusing on improving health and wellbeing; raising aspirations and realising potential and building stronger, more cohesive communities.

More than 49 million people live within 15 miles of an EFL Club, demonstrating that they really are at the heart of their communities. Offering support 365 days a year, EFL Clubs continue to be at the forefront of tackling some of society’s biggest challenges through targeted initiatives and programmes.

With more than one million people engaged in Club community activity each season and more than one billion pounds worth of social value generated through the range of programmes delivered, the work they do is as prevalent as it has ever been, having a greater impact than ever before.

EFL in the Community is a strategic system partner of Sport England and is part of the movement to help people across EFL communities to move more and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.

EFL in the Community receives long-term National Lottery funding from Sport England and has committed to influence positive change and drive improvements across our network and beyond.  This is part of Sport England’s approach to long-term partnerships with organisations aligned to the ‘Uniting the Movement’ strategy.
